Early & Secret Endings in The Blood of Dawnwalker
Besides the four finale routes, the game hides two early endings available right after the prologue: leave the valley forever, or stay with your family in a dream loop. Both count as finishing the story.
A Hero They Deserve — the Coward's Path
- Finish the prologue.
- Go to the Coward's Path shrine in Briar Sloughs at night.
- Cross the bridge and choose the option to leave Vale Sangora forever.
- This unlocks A Hero They Deserve and ends the story early.
Together Forever — the Home Sweet Home loop
- Finish the prologue.
- Enter the Home Sweet Home dream around the Silts Tower / Svantrau area.
- Through four loops, ignore the well and let the dream repeat.
- On the fifth loop, chop the wood and talk to Esme — the story resolves with your family.
- This unlocks Together Forever.
Do early endings count as beating the game?
Yes — both complete the main story and unlock the main completion achievement. Community reporting says the top difficulty's completion condition expects saving Laslea's people instead (the full-ending set), so treat these as extras for later, not a shortcut for difficulty runs.
Save advice
These endings end the campaign where they trigger, and the Home Sweet Home loop is not obviously "the ending" while you are inside it — keep a manual save before entering if you want to return to the main route.
