Midnight Reckoning – Lacra's Final Quest
Quick answer: this is the last quest of Lacra's line and the gate to The Patricide ending. Finish The Night of Horrors before it, bring a manual save, and expect a ruins run with Brencis at the end.
What it is
The finale of Lacra's questline — the point where her route commits to the assault on Brencis. Completing it keeps The Patricide open; it is also reported to be reachable well before the 30-day deadline, which is why Lacra's ending is often players' first.
Requirements and start
- Advance Lacra's line: A Friend Like This, Song of the Mountain, Hive and Seek and Our Rotten Roots.
- Complete The Night of Horrors first — doing it after Midnight Reckoning closes the romance path.
- Talk to Lacra “when you're ready” — the quest starts from her and walks you into the final assault.
The quest flow
- Find the entrance to the ruins — the assault begins underground.
- Make your way through — launch-build walkthroughs describe a trap-set section on the way in.
- Brencis confrontation — with Lacra's line complete, the finale resolves as The Patricide.
Troubleshooting and bug reports
- Companion stuck: community bug reports describe Lacra failing to follow into the ruins. The common workaround is reloading a manual save and re-entering the area — no official fix wording is available (Needs verification).
- "Escape the trap" section: player questions about the trap are common; follow the quest's own prompts, and keep a save mid-assault so you can retry the sequence.
- No free-roam cleanup after: standard finale warning — save before committing.
